- Mention your struggle which you have to face to start your venture

Image consulting was very new business when I started, people had very glamorized notions of what exactly the services are. The biggest struggle was getting clients and creating an awareness of why this is important. Personally the struggle I had to face was leaving a 2 year old child at home to pursue something which had not immediate results. 

- Family Support

My husband & sister have been supportive from the very start. It took time for other members to understand my work and its importance. 

- Reaction of your family/friends or well wishers on choosing your passion

“No one believes in your dreams until you start making money” - read this somewhere and I agree to it. To share a funny incident, As part of my work , am also a personal shopper and my mum wanted to know why would someone pay me to shop for them ;-)

- Ups and Downs Being an entrepreneur

The pain and pleasure all yours. You have to motivate yourself every single day, on days when things are not going your way, you need to double dose your motivation yourself. But the fun part is the money, recognition, satisfaction all yours. 

- Your Dream

I want to see a stylised India, and m not talking styling or dressing well from a vain point of view. If you travel to Singapore or London, look at people whether working or not, they are dressed smartly, they create an Image for themselves. We have been so technically trained; they our soft skills have taken a back seat. The world is Global and we need to up our Image for this. 

- Are you happy choosing your way to be an entrepreneur?

 Oh am more than happy. 

- Difficulties you have to face being a woman in your field

No matter how this sounds but being an image consultant it means to be well dressed and groomed at all times. People who don’t understand the important of dressing well, always feel that image consultants are only for the HNIS & UHNIS. 

- What do you think about necessity of empowerment of woman

A women needs to be empowered not just to earn money but to feel positive about themselves. Look at the bigger picture, our media, our society has made such an idol like picture perfect image of a woman that women themselves feel guilty if they don’t follow it. I want to know which actress has that baby like skin, which actress can claim that they are happy always. No one. Its a myth created and women who fail to achieve that perfect daughter, perfect mother, perfect wife tag feel useless. 

- Any special comment you want to convey to women who are following you  

Believe in yourself, unless that happens no one will believe you. You need not aim to be perfect always and it is not necessary to work. But to work or not should be your choice.
